We’re expanding our capabilities

We’re excited to announce UV laser engraving at LaserCraft Creations — offering ultra-fine detail and capabilities that far exceed standard and CO2 lasers.

What UV laser engraving offers

  • Exceptional detail: UV lasers produce much finer engraving lines and higher resolution, perfect for intricate text, micro-patterns, and photorealistic images.

  • Surface engraving on glass & crystal: Clean, crisp engraving on the surface of glass, crystal, acrylic, and many coated materials with minimal heat-affected zones.

  • True 3D internal engraving: Create deep, fully internal 3D images and point-cloud designs inside glass and crystal without cracking, chipping, or damaging the outer surface.

  • Versatility: Works on delicate or coated substrates that are difficult with other laser types, expanding design options for awards, keepsakes, memorials, and high-end gifts.

Cold Processing

  • In addition to fine engraving of glass and crystal, UV lasers offer cold processing that makes them uniquely suited for a wide range of materials. Because UV wavelengths remove material through photochemical ablation rather than heat, they can engrave wood, leather, plastics, and many other substrates with minimal or no burning, scorching, or thermal distortion.
    Key benefits:

    • Clean edges and high detail: The short UV wavelength produces very fine beam spots, delivering crisp lines and intricate detail ideal for logos, text, and photo-quality images.

    • Minimal heat-affected zone: Cold processing preserves the surrounding material, reducing charring on wood, avoiding discoloration on leather, and preventing melting or warping in heat-sensitive plastics.

    • Wide material compatibility: Beyond glass and crystal, UV lasers can mark coated metals, acrylics, polycarbonates, rubber, paper, ceramics, and more — often without the need for special coatings or pre-treatments.

    • Consistent results on mixed-media projects: Because the process is non-thermal, it produces predictable marks across different materials in the same batch.

    • Reduced post-processing: Less soot, residue, and burn cleanup translates to faster turnaround and better-ready-to-ship products.

  • Applications:

    • Fine glass and crystal personalization: Etching names, dates, and detailed artwork with delicate, frosted finishes.

    • Leather goods: Crisp monograms and designs without darkening or stiffening the hide.
